Affordable internet telephone

The Netherlands’ Alphatron Marine BV has introduced an affordable solution in maritime communications, aiming  at the ever growing  demand for internet solutions on board vessels.  The Alphasatsea is a stand alone, self-tracking device that supports a bandwidth up to 2MB. Expanding the system with a VoIP modem turns the Alphasatsea into an internet telephone, leading to  a significant reduction in the telephone costs. In Europe, rates can be as low as € 0.10 per minute.
