Another Seawork contract for CTruk
UK boatbuilder, CTruk, has received a second order as a direct result of enquiries gained at Seawork this year.
As well as the on stand signing for a new OWSV with fisherman, Paul Knight, CTruk also firmed up a deal with Netherlands based Sima Charters which ordered a second vessel for its fleet.
This was the first year that CTruk had a workboat on the pontoon and its already reserved a berth at the show for 2014.
Andy White, Chairman, CTruk, said to Maritime Journal: “Once again CTruk closed deals during Seawork 2013. This event is a great meeting place for the industry and a focussed business platform for us in the workboat sector. Numerous and above all high-quality visitors are essential to any exhibition’s success, and Seawork attracts them all.”
Mr White pointed out that this latest deal means that all CTruk 20T customers have now ordered a second vessel – a real testament to the company’s drive to innovate the design of multi-role workboats for the sector.
The new 18.5m composite workboat, named SC Falcon, is expected to join Sima Charters’ fleet of offshore tender boats in February 2014.
Sima Charters first CTruk 20T, SC Buzzard, has worked constantly on CWind contracts on London Array and Gwynt y Mor Offshore Wind Farms since its delivery in November last year, enjoying positive client feedback.
