Anti-piracy beams into SMM

The systems, which operate with the Inmarsat or Iridium satellite networks, allow for safe communications for the captain and crew in the event of a piracy attack. The system also includes a tracking and alert feature so that authorities can be alerted of the attack.

Piracy attacks on commercial and leisure vessels are becoming an increasing problem within the maritime sector. Beam’s piracy solutions have a specially designed covert antenna to prevent the system being taken out prior to an attack and provide a solution for the citadel or safe room of the vessel.
