Armada Engineering gears up for growth
Hydraulics specialist Armada Engineering, which went through a management buyout late last year, is relaunching its services with a view to accelerating the growth of its worldwide customer base.
Over the last six months the company has strengthened its team and expanded its core range of services and at the same time secured official dealership status for leading brands John Deere, Yanmar and Shire.
“Over the years, we have been involved in a number of ground-breaking projects, across sectors as diverse as superyachts, commercial shipping, marine renewables, oil & gas, and military vessels,” said Joff Collins, managing director, Armada Engineering.
“The worldwide demand for quality engineering solutions continues to grow and diversify, creating new areas of opportunity for companies like ours. This is a very exciting time for our business.”
Hydraulic expertise
Armada recently helped with the hydraulic refit on the superyacht Aquilia and designed the starting system for the Rolls Royce engines on project 305 (Alamshar) built in Plymouth.
Mr Collins said there is huge potential for the business to expand its superyacht customer base across Europe and further afield.
Armada Engineering’s new website incorporates an innovative facility called Hydraulics Doctor, where prospective customers can obtain free advice for any issues they may have encountered with hydraulic systems.
The company will be hosting an Open Day on 29 September at its purpose-built facility at Bickland Industrial Estate, Falmouth. Visitors will be able to meet with the team and see details on Armada’s recent projects including work with Pendennis Shipyard, A&P, Rolls Royce, Fugro, LDD, Babcock Marine and BAE Systems.
