AST Marine contract to supply CWind
UK based AST Maritime Sciences has won a contract to supply CWind with AST-Planned Maintenance System software on board its fleet of vessels.
The system is a vessel organisational software tool which aims to enable crews to stay on top of all the necessary equipment checks and servicing.
David Butt, technical support coordinator at CWind, said: “CWind is pleased to confirm we are working with AST in implementing a new vessel planned maintenance system specifically tailored for the CWind fleet to improve productivity and efficiency.”
“Initial pilots have been successful and CWind will be implementing AST-Planned Maintenance System in a staged programme to the rest of the fleet, initially starting with our four new vessels currently in build,” he added.
CWind has also implemented AST`s new Intelligent Remote Asset Monitoring System (IRAMS) solution on two vessels.
This solution populates engine management data into the power management system remotely, this provides shoreside alerts in near real time and can prevent unplanned vessel downtime.
