Brokers Acquired
Liverpools oldest ship brokers, SC Chambers& Co Ltd, has been acquired by Sanderson Maritime Ltd with backing fromMerseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF), Lloyds TSB and the companys owninvestment.
The managing director of the Port of Kiel (SEEHAFEN KIEL GmbH & Co KG), Dirk Claus said, ‘This is an important step in the development of our port. Container handling represents a new business sector for Kiel.’ The Sanderson Maritime Group operates globally from the Port of Liverpool Building and specialises in a range of maritime services which includes international barge transportation. The acquisition is expected to lead to the creation of 12 new jobs.
