Caris and Eiva partner in survey solutions
Canadian and Danish marine offshore software companies, Caris and Eiva, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide an integrated solution for offshore survey organisations.
The companies will collaborate to integrate their software products for offshore survey projects that include acquiring and processing survey data and managing and manipulating data.
Eiva’s NaviPac survey acquisition software is supported by Caris’ HIPS and SIPS bathymetric data processing software. Eiva’s NaviModel 3D application also has the ability to utilise Caris’ Bathy DataBase for data storage and retrieval and allows for the delivery of datasets using standard geospatial formats.
The new partnership will offer customers seamless workflow without data conversions and the choice to use the individual modules as needed.
Jeppe Nielsen, CEO, Eiva, said: “This initiative will produce the optimum integrated solution for marine survey applications available in the market – fully supported by two companies specialising in marine survey. Existing Eiva and Caris customers as well as new customers will benefit from this collaboration.”
Dr Salem Masry, CEO, Caris, added: “Caris prides itself on state-of-the-art software solutions and Eiva shares this same objective. The software is very complimentary; by streamlining the workflow we can provide efficiency and additional functionality for our users.”
Caris and Eiva will hold a workshop to introduce their joint solution at the Ocean Business event taking place in Southampton, UK, on 9 April to 11 April 2013.
