Concordia 3D survey completed
Following the righting of the Costa Concordia, the UK’s ADUS Deepocean and Canada’s 2G Robotics were commissioned by Titan Salvage to perform a high resolution 3D survey of the wreck.
2G Robotics’ newly developed ULS-500-Profiler was used to capture detailed cloud point data of the wreck underwater.
The equipment was attached to an underwater survey pole and using a POS MV positioning solution, each profile taken was aligned relative to each other to create a complete 3D model of the vessel.
