CTruk invests in Kudos software

SOFTWARE: Brigtlingsea based high speed marine craft builder, CTruk Boats, has invested in Devon based marine software company, Kudos’ Workshop + software for its shipyard, in a bid to effectively manage thousands of stocked parts.

Jonno Barrett, managing director, Kudos

CTruk’s investment in the software is a result of rapid business growth due to a combination of new build and service support work for multi-purpose composite marine craft. Kudos’ IT infrastructure will enable the company to control its busy workshop, stock, billable time and will also ensure more accurate accounting.

Kudos Workshop features a central stock file where minimum stock levels can be set to optimise purchase ordering and which ensures there’s no duplication of work. Staff at the shipyard can manage customer enquiries efficiently, saving time and improving customer satisfaction.

The software also features a standard job library which allows CTruk to build complex, re-occurring jobs – parts and labour – for regular servicing jobs.

Steve Hurst, spokesperson for CTruk, said: “Our control of stock is now so much improved; in just two months the Kudos system has almost paid for itself. The team at Kudos is flexible and has worked with us to tailor the solution to fit with our business processes.”

Jonno Barrett, managing director, Kudos, added: “It’s great to bring CTruk on board and work with an organisation that’s advancing so well in the current challenging climate for the marine trade.”
