CWind adds to its fleet

The CWind Adventure is a CTruk 20T which uses a modular three section pod, comprising of a wheelhouse, accommodation pod and porch module giving greater flexibility without compromising on fuel efficiency.

It will join the other CWind vessels working on both the construction and maintenance of offshore windfarms.

Dave Quested, fleet director, CWind, said: “This workboat’s flexibility means that it can undertake a variety of tasks, such as crew transfer, generator management, refuelling and inspection services.”

Meanwhile, the company says that it has logged over 600,000 working hours with a zero Lost Time Incidents (LTI) record in the offshore wind farm sector since 2009.

It says that it’s at an exciting point with planned expansion for its charter fleet and project teams and that fundamental to this growth will be its robust health and safety culture embedded at the “very heart of its operations”.

CWind’s fleet has worked on windfarms in the UK, Scotland, Holland and Denmark. It has developed excellent relationships with the key players in the wind industry, working on major offshore wind farm projects delivering services such as generator management, corrosion protection, inspection services, essential installation project works, cable pulling etc as well as vessel charter and complete project solutions.
