Datema updates navigation services

Datema’s’ PAYS service, ENCTrack, now includes AVCA – the world’s most chosen electronic navigation chart (ENC) services for ECDIS – and the Admiralty Information Overlay (AIO) for additional passage planning information.

With over 13,000 ENCs and covering 4,000 ports, AVS allows mariners to navigate an unparalleled number of international shipping routes and ENCTrack with AVCS ensures users only pay for what they use.

The company’s dynamic licensing system ensures vessels have 24/7 access to all charts and permits, giving the captain complete flexibility in voyage planning. ENCTrack will track the vessel in real-time, immediately registering which ENCs are being travelled and accessed.

This service is available through Chartplanner, said to be the first multivendor digital chart catalogue able to show geographical coverage for AVCS, Admiralty Raster Chart Service (ARCS), Admiralty publications and ENCs from multiple sources.

Chartplanner and back office activities are fully integrated via a B2B link to Primar, IC-ENC and now also the UKHO. This allows for fully automised planning and ordering process supported by customer support staff.

Datema is set to showcase Chartplanner as the gateway to ENCTrack with AVCS at the SMM Exhibition in Hamburg, taking place from 8 to 12 September 2014, on stand B6.136.
