French wind
Paris based industrial group Areva has been selected by the consortium GDF SUEZ – EDP Renewables as exclusive turbine supplier for the second offshore wind call for tender in France.
This call for tender is for the installation of 1,000MW total capacity in zones in the Upper Normandy region and the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier in the Loire region.
Areva’s offshore wind turbines have been operating at the Alpha Vetus windfarm in the North Sea since 2009.
