Green Ships Centre
Imtech Marine has established a global Competence Centre Green Ships in Hamburg to concentrate its expertise in the area of green ship solutions.
The Competence Centre focuses on innovative, environmentally friendly and cost saving solutions for customers, enabling them to operate energy efficient ships and supporting them in the development of green initiatives which comply with future emission rules and regulations.
By 2015, Imtech Marine aims to become one of the top three independent green technology marine suppliers. The company is already eveloping hybrid propulsion and HVAC systems as well as energy efficient, low emission integrated ship architectures.
The new centre is able to offer a broad range of services including green technology consulting applied to holistic ship architectures and the optimization of the overall ship performance regarding energy efficiency and emissions. The modelling and the simulation of multi-disciplinary systems with Dymola/Modellica and/or Matlab/Simulink can be carried out as well as overall project management.
