Hamburg Messe und Congress open the door to Iran
Iran will be represented by a national pavilion for the first time ever at maritime trade fair SMM Hamburg.
The invitation follows a visit in December 2015 by a delegation from Hamburg Messe to Iranimex, the International Marine Industries Exhibition organised by the Iranian Association of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering.
Following the lifting of international sanctions, Iran intends to invest around £120bn by 2020 to rebuild its national shipping fleet.
Iran will showcase its capabilities at the show which runs from 6-9 September.
