Hatlapa and Loewe Marine set up new partnership
German marine equipment supplier, Hatlapa, has set up a new partnership with German ship repair company, Loewe Marine, to provide maintenance and repair services for steering gear and rudder systems.
The partnership, which was announced at this year’s SMM trade show in September, will offer cost-optimised maintenance and repair service to existing companies. Both firms also hope that it will create new business opportunities within the maritime industry.
Managing director of Hatlapa, Jörg Tollmien, said: “Our combined expertise will give ship owners peace of mind, both in terms of cost and technical performance. With us at their side, they will be in the best position to operate their units successfully and reliably.”
Carsten Löhmer, managing director of Loewe Marine added: “Thanks to this premium partnership, we will also be able to perform more cost effective annual inspections of all electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components of steering gear and full-spade rudders.”
In addition to maintenance and repair, the Hatlapa and Loewe Marine partnership will provide interface management to their worldwide customers to ensure projects proceed efficiently, while being cost effective.
