HATLAPA Wind Break
HATLAPA has taken over the former ship technology and cargo handling division of KGW Schweriner Maschinenbau GmbH and integrated it into a newly founded company, KGW Marine GmbH, located at Schwerin in Germany.
Technology has moved on since the Leander Class frigate HMS Andromeda entered the water in May 1967, not least with regard to launch technique.
Some 20 KGW employees are staying on, retaining responsibility for existing orders and ensuring the future of the ship division’s product range. KGW has emerged as a major supplier of wind power towers and will now focus on environmental technologies and power systems.
