High performance optical lantern
Finland’s Sabik has launched a new high performance optical lantern LED 160 which it says will launch a new era in marine lighting.
The LED 160 lantern complements the existing range of Sabik high quality lanterns but belongs to the category of small to medium sized lanterns. It’s targeted towards fixed and floating installations and has options for buoys between three and eight nautical miles and fixed installations up to 12 nautical miles from shore.
Lars Mansner, managing director, Sabik Oy, said: “We wanted to offer a new generation lantern to suit this particular range and have launched a follower for the popular LED 155. We are very satisfied with the outcome and believe that this lantern will fulfil the most requiring requirements in the marine conditions due to its best in class optical performance and robust design.”
The all-around lantern has a new design rugged injection moulded aluminium housing. Added to this it has an extremely low power consumption and is suitable for both solar and battery operations. Advanced and easy to use remote monitoring and control are available as an option with Light Guard Monitor software which can be easily adapted to different standards of usage.
Sabik is a leading manufacturers with more than 30 years of experience in high-quality signal products for use at sea as well on the roads, in the air and on the railways.
