HIT Bulks Up
A new long term agreement between Associated British Ports and Arkady Feed (UK) Ltd will boost agribulks throughput at the Port of Imminghams Humber International Terminal by an estimated 100,000 tons per year.
This story was told in ‘Waverley – Paddler for a Pound’, published by Tempus last year. Mc Gowan is also honorary president of the Scottish branch of the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society.
The new service was trialed late last year. The success of that operation has resulted in Arkady choosing to import a variety of feedstuffs and biomass fuels through HIT from sources across the Far East.
