Holland Shipbuilding Association

The new Holland Shipbuilding Association was born last month through the merger of the Netherlands’ Shipbuilding Industry Association (VNSI) and the Holland Marine Equipment Association (HME).

In it, the Raymarine YJA Yachtsman of the Year for 2004 expresses gratitude for this book about sailing’s inventors and innovations, which gave him, a man who had spent much of his life ‘messing about in boats’, a new insight into the history of his sport.

Based at Zoetermeer, the Holland Shipbuilding association now represents some 400 embers with a total maritime turnover of €6bn, an export volume of €3.5bn, and a combined direct workforce of over 25,000 people.
