Hutton & Co (Ships Chandlers) Ltd has expanded its UK national presence by adding a new office in Aberdeen to the six it already operates in Hull, Immingham, Southampton, Middlesbrough – Tees, Edinburgh – Leith, and Grangemouth. The new facility at Aberdeen includes a 4,000ft 2warehouse containing full frozen, chilled and dry stores ready for dispatch to the local shipping industry, Scandinavian based customers, and offshore oil and gas operations.
The report says that nearly half of all global expenditure on wave energy and 90% of that for tidal energy up to 2008 is related to the UK market. Services required in the marine renewables sector include business and finance, environmental surveys, design, manufacturing, offshore construction, operation and decommissioning.
