Marine division of Jeppesen acquired
Digital Marine Solutions has announced that it has signed a purchase agreement to acquire the marine division of Jeppesen.
The agreement, which is subject to regulatory approval, means that Jeppesen Marine will operatre under a separate entity with its own resources.
It will trade under the C-MAP brand name, while Jeppesen remains part of the Boeing Company.
Leif Ottosson, future chairman of Digital Marine Solutions, said: “Jeppesen Marine is one of the premier players in electronic charting and value added service for recreational and commercial marine.”
“We look forward to working with the Jeppesen Marine team to create fresh innovations and to continue to work with the company’s existing customers to further grow the business,” he added.
The transaction is expected to be completed toward the end of the second quarter of 2016.
