Moteurs Baudouin marine power
French power and propulsion expert, Moteurs Baudouin, has launched two new high speed diesel engines, one specially dedicated to the marine and inland shipping industries.
The new 6M26.3 and 12M26.3 (6 cylinders in line and V12 – 90°) offer 15.9 and 31.8 litres displacement respectively. They are designed to achieve the most economical marine power in terms of fuel saving as well as continuous power optimisation between overhauls.
With the new engines, Moteurs Baudouin said it is offering a new standard in the IMO Tier III and EPA Tier IV engine category with some unparalleled marine features.
The M26.3 has been specifically developed for the marine and inland shipping propulsion industry with a package that includes full service accessibility, durable and compact power, user friendly technology like electronic injection redundancy and reference operational life cycle cost.
It will be compliant with all applicable marine and inland shipping exhaust emission regulations and is compatible with SCR technology.
The engine has successfully completed its durability test and has started the external certification phase for first deliveries by the third quarter of 2015.
