New dredger for France

The new dredger replaces an older vessel and increases the digging depth in an existing sand and gravel operation.

Rohr says its customer chose this type of dredger due to its ability to carry out shallow dredging of large cobble.

The electric KS 225 has a digging depth of 13m and a production capacity of up to 423m³ per hour, using 225l buckets. The buckets have variable speed and are individually mounted on a Caterpillar tractor chain, which allows for easy replacement of any damaged buckets.

It is equipped with an onboard fine sand recovery system and high frequency fine sand dewatering screen and cyclone and has fully automated controls to support a one-man operation and low power requirements.

Rohr’s Floating Bucketladders have a standard digging depth of up to 18m, but can be designed to reach up to 23m.
