New group director marine for Transas
The Transas Group is streamlining its structure by appointing a new group director, Andrey Belentiev of its marine business unit.
Mr Belentiev is the former managing director of the Russian marine business entity, Transas (JSC).
He has been with the Transas Marine since its inception and during his five years as MD at JSC helped to ensure that the unit became one of Russia’s leading companies in the IT sphere.
Following Mr Belentiev’s move, Alexander Sokolov will succeed him as managing director at the Russian marine unit.
Meanwhile, Ralf Lehnert, managing director, Transas Marine International, will continue to run the international part of Transas’ marine business.
This latest organisational change is part of what Transas calls an “optimisation” of its corporate structure. It’s trying to create better coordination between the entities within the Transas Group to allow for shared technology resources and achieve a faster time to market for new products.
