New jack-up
Poseidon has designed a new jack-up barge for France based Entreprise Jean Negri Company, due for launch in March 2015. The barge will be built by Ottomar Co. and the hydraulic jacking system will be manufactured by Gurdesan Co.
The 30x18x3m barge will have 36 metre legs with four guiding devices for each leg. The total load on platform will be 400 tons (in service), with a 200 tons crawler crane evolution area of about 18 x 12 m.
The barge is designed to withstand a deck load of 8 t/m2 and the jacking apparatus will allow a jacking speed of upto 16m/hr.
