New joint venture for Amsterdam
Announced at Europort 2015 in Rotterdam, Dutch Offshore Base BV is a new joint venture between Ter Haak Group, Dutch Offshore Group and Rotterdam Offshore Group.
Dutch Offshore Base provides extensive marine support capabilities from the Port of Amsterdam. The partners say that ‘ideas and activities of shareholders are complementary, they have a strong reputation for finding innovative solutions for complex jobs, so a complete portfolio can be offered to clients’.
Dutch Offshore Base has an open sea accessible, strategic and ISPS and AEN location in the main port of Amsterdam. There are lay-by facilities for (marine, sea-going and jack up) vessels and there is 800m of quayside available, with a deep sea quay of up to 500m length, 60m breadth and 15m draft. The facility also offers heavy lift crane capacity up to 1400 tonnes, a large open yard area of more than 100,000sqm and warehouse space of 30,000sqm.
Business services are set to include mobilisation, vessel repair, supply of equipment, warehousing and high end mechanical services.
