New National Hydrographer

The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) has announced the appointment of Commodore Nick Lambert RN as the next UK National Hydrographer, Deputy Chief Executive (Hydrography), based at Taunton in Somerset. He has been promoted to Rear Admiral and takes over from Rear Admiral Ian Moncrieff. He will play a key role in the UKHO’ s continuing work with the international hydrographic community and in discharging the UK Government’ s responsibilities for the MCA under SOLAS.
