New Neptune MPV
The Fenna B is a Neptune Shipyards-built Eurocarrier 2611, managed by Stemat BV.
The vessel is 26m long, 11m wide and with a draft of approximately 2.8m. It has been designed to be capable of undertaking a wide range of marine operations, such as supplying fuel and water, transport of equipment on deck or in ISO containers, survey and research jobs, general towing , etc.
The complete vessel, including the hull, has been built in the Netherlands under Neptune Shipyards own supervision. The hull was built at the Neptune yard in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, with the outfitting done at the yard in Aalst. The Fenna B is classed Bureau Veritas, Special service / multipurpose ship, unrestricted navigation • AUT-UMS.
Fenna B is powered by two Cummins main engines rated 1,044kW at 1,800 rpm each, driving two 1,850mm propellers through Masson gearboxes. During trials the vessel achieved a 36 tonne bollard pull and a speed of 11 knots.
For electric power the vessel is equipped with two Caterpillar C9 generator sets. Hydraulic power onboard is provided by two 90 kW electric motors, driven by both generators. A Heila HLRM 230-4SL deck crane is fitted on the portside bow and a Heila HLRM 140-3S is aft. A 100 tonne anchor handling winch, a 50 tonne towing winch and a 10 tonne tugger winch are fitted. A wide bow roller is fitted in combination with hydraulically operated wire-guide pins. Fittings have been welded on deck to be able to place and secure ISO containers.
