New opportunities at TRANSTEC 2016
TRANSTEC 2016 has welcomed its participants to explore the development programme about Russian ports and shipping.
It showcases opportunities for European companies to offer their products and services to the Russian market.
The 13th International Exhibition & 5th International Conference on Russian Ports and Shipping will be held in St Petersburg from 4 October to 6 October.
It covers the strategic linking of sea, river and coastal shipping with the rail, road and air transportation infrastructure in the Russian Federation, including a detailed focus on the Arctic and Northern Sea Route.
TRANSTEC states that with more than 60% of Russian foreign trade carried by sea transportation, there is a priority to increase port capacity, construct new port facilities and develop new rail infrastructure.
This infrastructure will help ports develop logistic centres and present companies with an open door to participate in the redevelopments. Or benefit from the final products.
The TRANSTEC programme is supported by the International Association of Ports and Harbours, ESPO, the International Expert Council on Cooperation in the Arctic and many others.
