PME opens in Plymouth

The Poole based company, which was founded in 1966, is a main MAN Marine and Industrial dealership. It provides trained engineers, and offers servicing, overhauling and spare parts for high speed marine MAN engines.

To enhance its new support centre, PME has employed three new members of staff to add to its workforce.

Peter Chalk, director, PME, said: “Despite the economic downturn we felt that the time was right to expand our business by creating a Plymouth based branch of our engineering team. To this end we have opened a fully functioning support centre. Having a Plymouth based branch will give us the flexibility to respond quickly to our customers and supply technical support first hand.”

Dave Walter, manager of the Plymouth branch, added: “I’m looking forward to working with the team here in Plymouth. Our philosophy is very much about nurturing talent and encouraging expertise.”
