Port life publication
The second edition of Harwich Ahoy!, an occasional publication on behalf of the Harwich Lifeboat station and crew, has just been published, with a web version available online at www.harwich-ahoy.co.uk
The publication has no formal connection with the RNLI and there are no full-time staff, but following the success of last year’s first attempt to publish a full sized magazine about maritime life in the historic Essex port town, the team has received extra support from commercial organisations, especially the Harwich Haven Authority, which celebrates its 150th anniversary.
Trinity House has once again shown its generosity, joined this year by Boskalis Westminster and Van Oord Dredging. Svitzer Towage and Maersk Line are also part of the publication’s focus on port activity. Advertisers include the Port of Felixstowe, Harwich International Port, Stena Line, Red7 Marine, and AJ Woods Engineering.
