Russian appointment at SMM
Ocean Signal, UK manufacturer of communications and safety at sea equipment, has appointed MS Service, based in St Petersburg, as its Russian distributor. The announcement follows the Ocean Signal range of SafeSea products gaining full Type Approval for use on Russian vessels.
The SafeSea EPIRB’s E100 and E100G with inbuilt GPS both gained approval of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping for use on sea going vessels, as did the V100 hand held VHF and S100 SART together with use on rescue craft.
MS Service has a long standing relationship with the Russian commercial shipping and fishing fleets and will provide an important footing in the large Russian market for Ocean Signal.
The announcement coincided with the opening of the SMM exhibition in Hamburg, where Ocean Signal showed the full range of SafeSea products.
