Seawork 2013 – expanding to demand

Mercator Medias commercial marine exhibition and conference, Seawork, has expanded into a third hall, due to increased demand for stands from exhibitors, this year.

This year's Seawork exhibition has expanded due to an increase in demand for stands

This year’s event, taking place at ABP Port of Southampton, UK, between 25 and 27 June 2013, will welcome new exhibitors from overseas, including Dubai’s Nico Craft LLC, USA based Maretron LLP and HydroComp and Sweden’s Humphree.

They will join long term international exhibitors Damen Shipyards, Ravestein, Austal and Abeking & Rasmussen, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB).

Andrew Webster, managing director of Mercator Media, said: “Despite austerity measures across the world, the commercial marine industry, through necessity, continues to go about its business. Being a part of Seawork is now regarded as essential by exhibitors and visitors alike, as it makes sound commercial sense to take advantage of the industry being in one place at one time.”

Seawork 2013 will feature the largest ever number of commercial RIBs on display, as well as all the related technologies and products, including manufacture, propulsion, steering, seating, clothing and communications.

The exhibition, which will include a forum on health and safety issues and future developments of RIBs, has also been chosen for the launch of industry enthusiast, Dag Pike’s new publication, The Complete RIB Manual.
