South American expansion
German propulsion major Schottel has opened a new subsidiary in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, to further strengthen and extend its position in South and Central America.
Managing Director of Schottel de Colombia is Julio Carrasquilla Martínez who worked for Schottel do Brasil as sales agent before. He has a Master in Marine Technology from Delft University and brings along 16 years of work experience in the marine industry in South America and Europe.
Schottel de Colombia has been set up to serve customers from Venezuela and Colombia and is responsible for the sales activities in the region.
