Successful delivery from Kenz cranes

The specially designed crane was transported in one piece from the Kenz construction quay in Zaandam by the Matador 3, the biggest floating sheerleg in the Netherlands. After testing, the pedestal crane was installed onboard the Leviathan in the place of a 3oot main crane and a 100t auxiliary crane.

Kenz designed the crane specifically for Seajacks and the installation of offshore wind turbines. It has a 78m outreach and is also suitable for shallow waters subsea operations in the oil and gas industry. The under deck vessel strengthening and electrical vessel modifications will be carried out under the supervision of Kenz Cranes.

Following the successful commission, Kenz cranes has won another repeat contract for the new Seajacks jack-up vessel Hydra. Delivery of the second crane is expected in the second quarter of 2013.
