Terminals early retirement

The UK’ s leading container port is retiring one of the world’ s oldest box terminals in the face of reduced traffic volume. Landguard Terminal at the Port of Felixstowe had been operational for more than 40 years when the last remaining services were transferred to Trinity Terminal last month. Languard had been due to close next year when the first phase of the new Felixstowe South facility becomes operational.
