The gateway to East Asia

Delivering the latest in maritime industry developments, equipment and services, Seawork Asia will be held at the Shanghai World Exhibition and Conference Centre (SWEEC).

More than 70 exhibitors showcased 120 brands at Seawork Asia 2014 and welcomed 5,000 visitors from 22 countries.

China is the world’s largest exporter and it is anticipated that China will spend in the region of £9bn between 2015 and 2018, with an expected GDP growth of 5% in the next 15 years.

As one of the world’s leading shipbuilding nations, China is constantly looking to increase its capabilities with more complex vessels and is actively encouraging western nations to help develop the industry.

The event will also see the return of the Seawork Asia Forum, where topical subjects will be discussed with seminars delivered by industry spokesman and innovators.

Seawork Asia is supported industry associations such as Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, International Harbour Masters Association, Shipbuilders & Shiprepairers Association and the UKTI.
