Wärtsilä systems for Color Line ferries
Wärtsilä is to retrofit its exhaust gas cleaning Open Loop Scrubber systems on three of Color Line’s vessels.
Each vessel – SuperSpeed I, Color Magic and Color Fantasy – will be fitted with four systems.
These are designed to rid the ships’ exhaust gases of harmful sulphur oxide and particulate emissions.
This will enable Color Line’s vessel to comply with current and anticipated environmental regulations, and to operate without restrictions in Emissions Control Areas (ECAs).
“Color Line sees environmental issues as a priority and the use of Wärtsilä exhaust gas cleaning systems on another three of our vessels is a significant step towards our goals in this respect,” said Jan Helge Pile, senior vice president marine and technical, Color Line Marine.
