It’s all happening at All Energy 2010

This year’s exhibition is larger than ever, so too is the conference, and the ever-popular Giant Networking Evening returns to its traditional ‘home’ at AECC, alongside the exhibition and conference. Free online registration is now open at www.all-energy.co.uk

New features of this year’s show, the tenth in the annual series, include a growing programme of ‘side events’ including a series of free market briefings and business meetings throughout the two days in the UK Energy Excellence Centre run by UK Trade & Investment. There is also a pre-event wave and tidal workshop organised by EG&S KTN and RenewableUK looking at installation, moorings and connections, a Jobs Fair on Day Two, and an ‘Education Day’ involving teachers and career advisers from Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire eager to find out about career opportunities for their pupils.

‘This year has certainly got off to a flying start, said event director, Jamie Thompson. ‘Indeed, it’s been a great ‘good news’ year with significant milestones chalked up during the first two and a half months including the announcement of the successful bidders for each of the nine Round 3 wind zones within UK waters, the green light given for the Beauly-Denny power line upgrade, Feed-in Tariffs due to be introduced on 1 April, the Pentland Firth and Orkney Waters licence round announced 16 March, more new onshore windfarms, announcements of investment made by Clipper Windpower, Mitsubishi, Siemens and Shell, the list goes on and on!

‘Most importantly, those announcements are backed by opportunities, opportunities for business, opportunities for investment, and opportunities for careers. It’s time to grasp the nettle and grab them all, and where better to do it than at All-Energy, which has been described as the AGM of the renewables business.’

Over 4,800m2 of exhibition space has a waiting list and further expansion is currently being considered. All elements of the show, the exhibition, conference and networking events are free to attend for all with a business/ professional interest in renewable energy.

For the first time, All-Energy is being held in association with UK Trade & Industry (UKTI) in addition to its long term relationships with RenewableUK (formerly BWEA) and Scottish Renewables. UKTI has long been an official supporter of the show, and in 2009 they brought Inward Missions from 29 countries to the event. This year UKTI has exchanged its ‘official supporter’ participation for a more active role. UKTI’s global network has invited delegates from markets which include Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Czech, Egypt, Germany, India, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Libya, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Nordic countries, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Taiwan, UAE, Ukraine, and the USA.

All-Energy ’09 was a record breaker , with 5,500 visitors from 60 countries packing the exhibition and conference halls over the two days. Over 380 exhibiting companies from 14 countries took part and more than 250 speakers explored all sources of renewable energy.
