Offshore wind platform under build in Dubai

His Excellency Khamis Juma Buamim, chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World told a gathering last month of visiting international press: “We are keen on working on projects of international significance such as the Dolwin Beta, with well-known international companies such as TenneT, Aibel and ABB.

The Dolwin Beta project is being built for a large wind farm cluster in the German sector of the North Sea. The dimension of the platform is 100.1m by 74.1m. It will be 83m tall with accommodation and weighs 20,000 metric tonnes approximately. The platform can generate 900 MW power and can receive electricity from three wind farms comprising a total of 240 turbines.
