Another New Platform for Combifloat
Rotterdam based Flexifloat Systems BV is building another C-7 Class Modular Self-elevating Platform after their previous newbuild was purchased out of the Combifloat fleet earlier this year by Huta Marine Works of Saudi Arabia.
The newbuilding will be the fourth and largest self elevating platform within the present Combifloat fleet.
However, with all Combifloat equipment available for both hire and purchase, it may not be there long.
The new unit will measure 18.5m by 24.5m although its modular design concept means it can always be extended.
Equipped with 48′ diameter spuds, the platform will have a deckload capacity of some 400 metric tons when it becomes available early next year. All Combifloat pontoons have a deck load capacity of 15 metric tons per m2.
As with the unit now at work in Saudi Arabia, this Combifloat Self Elevating Platform will also be built under Germanischer Lloyd classification as a *100 A5 K(20) Self Elevating Unit.
