British Firm Wins More Marina Work in Holland

DMC has been called in to provide its expertise in alternative construction techniques, including the use of large prefabricated elements, a technique that the Corps of engineers is trying for the first time on the project.

This latest phase of the development of the Dutch marina will take the total number of berths at the marina to 800 when complete, Walcon having supplied all the berths, based on its System 21, since the marina was opened in 1990. When complete, the work undertaken will have constituted one of the largest overseas contracts Walcon Marine has completed, including all of the berthing, piling and pontoons in the marina complex.
