Contract Awarded for Droylsden Canal Quarter
A contract to implement a large scale re-development project in the canal quarter in Droylsden, in the Tameside area of the UK, has been awarded to a Bangor-based company, Watkin Jones Ltd. Watkins Jones was selected as the preferred developer for the £ 100m, five-year East Manchester project in June. The aim of the project is to produce a mixed-use urban-village waterfront community on an existing 14-acre site which will include a new, 30berth marina, commercial and leisure facilities, a chandlery and boat service point.
