Modular Pontoons at seawork
The British company that earlier this year purchased the Eirfloat modular pontoon system manufactured and previously based in Ireland have got off to a flying start with a string of important orders. The company and the brand are now renamed Airfloat and will be exhibiting at seawork2004 .
The company has already secured a large export order from The Yaz Group, which is active in the reconstruction of Iraq, where the Airfloat system will be used to form a bridge for vehicle and pedestrian access.
Airfloat has also won a contract to supply the UK Environment Agency in works to form weed ties on the River Stour as well as a sizeable new order from Cork City Council.
The Airfloat Modular Pontoon System consists of high strength and high buoyancy modules (blocks) 700mm 2, that lock together using an integrally designed pin. Airfloat Ltd claims that with their modular pontoon system it is possible to create pontoons and floating jetties of virtually limitless design and shape. Easy and quick to install, they can be a cost-effective answer to a range of pontoon or mooring requirements, providing either a temporary or permanent solution.
Airfloat is tough, vandal resistant, virtually maintenance free and has the benefit of being reusable.
