With the pre-Christmas commissioning of the Scroby Sands wind farm just off the beach at Great Yarmouth, the UK has moved into position as the second largest offshore wind generator in the world, after Denmark. Scroby Sands 30 turbines, generating a maximum of 60MW, nearly doubled Britains operational capacity to 124MW.
