Cummins Power Supply Vessels
Bollinger Shipyards of Louisiana USA has delivered the Seacor Eagle, the first of two nearly identical 145.5ft supply/utility vessels for Seacor Marine of Houston, Texas USA.
The vessel is powered by two Cummins KTA-38MO diesel engines developing a total of 1,500hp at 1,600rpm. They drive Bollinger 72″ by 57″ stainless steel propellers through Twin Disc MG5301 reverse/reduction gears.
Two 99kW Cummins generators driven by two Cummins 6CTA8.3G diesels produce electrical power via Power Panels Inc switchgear with temporary paralleling capabilities. Two Quincy F-325-L-2 air compressors start the engines. A Schottel STT110 bow thruster driven by a Cummins N-14 engine provides additional manoeuvrability.
