PB Asher’s new Amsterdam workshop
Southampton UK based PB Asher, which specialises in reconditioning fuel injection equipment for the maritime industry, has taken a novel approach to keeping its customers’ onboard.
The company has opened a new and fully kitted out workshop in Amsterdam docks to support major overhauls on vessels dry docking in the neighbouring areas of Rotterdam and Antwerp with a speedy collection and delivery service to go with it. And, as the company looks after over 700 clients worldwide, PB Asher has decided to bring a virtual workshop to the customer that can be reached from anywhere in the world.
The company’s updated Job Tracker portal is accessible 24 hours a day for customers and, besides immediate status updates sent by email, it shows stock status, quote and parts breakdown online, with goods delivery time and location. It also gives HD high definition photographic evidence of equipment being stripped down and inspected on work benches as well as a full technical report from engineers and sign off from technical managers, allowing complete transparency.
