Prime Movers Think Big at SMM
The MAN B&W Diesel Group will present two new marine engine developments as well as their next generation of turbochargers under the title Prime Movers across 350m 2ofexhibition space on Stand 6001 in Hall 6 at SMM 2002.
The central exhibits at the stand will be a huge piston from the world’s largest engine, the K98MC two stroke, and an example of the newly developed TCA exhaust gas turbocharger series.
The recent results of MAN B&W diesel development work will be shown as models.
The V 48/60B is a further development of the successful 48/60 engine series and is suitable for use in cruiseships, ferries and large multi-purpose freighters. The RK 280 and SEMT Pielstick engines are developed for high speed ferry and naval applications. The VP185 high speed engine is used in high speed ferries and is also deployed in gensets for on board power.
