RingProp PLC has selected E P Barrus Ltd to distribute the companys innovative ringed propeller line in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Barrus will employ its substantial technical experience to complement RingProps own testing programme and help to create a selection guide for boat users in the UK. Barrus will also be responsible for warehousing, distribution and sales.
RingProp’s patented design for outboard motors is a cost effective response to growing concern about the safety and environmental impact of conventional open blade propellers. RingProp’s integral ring around the blades offers a safer approach while ensuring strength and durability.
The hydrodynamic design of the aluminium ring and blades provides increased thrust and reduces torque steer and ventilation.
This is claimed to enhance handling and manoeuvrability while maintaining rapid acceleration.
