Alewijnse refits Rotterdam port patrol vessels

For both the RPA 14 and the seagoing patrol vessel RPA 15 most elements of the electrical installation will be renewed, including the automation of the fire fighting systems. The refit concerns a modification of almost 75% of the electrical system, including the cabling. Alewijnse will take care of supervision on site and provide engineering, installation and delivery of the alarm, monitoring and control system, lighting installation, navigation equipment and wheelhouse distribution systems and automation of the fire detection installation.

In a unique approach, the wheelhouse will be removed, after which the new wheelhouse can be easily installed. The refit of the RPA 14 has just started and the vessel will be delivered in November 2009, immediately followed by the refit of the RPA 15, a seagoing patrol vessel that will be at the De Haas Yard until May 2010.
